We are now looking ahead to our Sunday and Tuesday short concerts and party:
 
Here are the details for this
SUNDAY June 22 CONCERT: ALL students
"Mini Carabram" at Shoppers World 
in Staples Court
Arrive 3pm-get out instruments and stands.
Watch the performance and wait till 3:30 BE READY for FAST set up.
We play 3:30 to 4pm Photographer from SNAP paper will be there
Wear your MATT t shirt and nice pants/skirt/shoes

Sunday Program only:

includes Twinkles, Lightly Row

both programs include all items from June 10 EXCEPT-NO Air by Handel,
and NO Solos or Staff quartets
 

 
TUESDAY June 24 Year-end pizza/pool PARTY All students and parents
Refreshments provided by Shoppers World and Superstore
 

at Ms Currie's home 4-6 pm.  rain or shine

Come and swim, with your parent's supervision.
 
TUESDAY June 24: EVENING CONCERT level 2 and 3 only
for "Night Cruisers" classic car event
in north parking lot Shoppers World
arrive between 7 and 7:15

PREPARE for ARRIVAL: CONCERT JUNE 10!

                                    
                                                                    PARENTS

1.Arrival time Tuesday is 3:30 to 3:45 pm individual tuning must be done before the 4pm rehearsal
 
2.Make sure your child has all their music with them and in correct order (See below) in a folder or binder
3. Please have students wear a MATT t-shirt  with colorful pant/skirt (or black t-shirt or top if you don't have one) . Dress up a little for our guests please
4. Please bring your food/drink items  and place on the refreshment tables when you arrive. They will be covered until after the concert.
5. Help your child to know where to go and how to sit quietly through the rehearsal and concert . You may sit with them on the side if you wish when they are "off stage". "When "on stage" their eyes should always be on their music or the conductor.
6. Help them practice carefully, listening and counting. Correct placement of fingers on tapes and excellent playing positions RH LH and holding, are essential at all times
7. Make sure your child has all their music with them and in correct order (See below) in a folder or binder


Please have your music in this order and in a folder or binder, so no music sheets can go flying!

                                                     WHAT'S COMING UP IN JUNE?
PLEASE NOTE: The concert June 21st is now changed to SUNDAYJune 22nd . Thank you to all parents for being flexible!! I am hoping this will pay off in more exposure for our program.
Sunday JUNE 22nd :Arrival time is 3pm Start at 3:15 and play till 3:45
ALL students are invited to join in, but the program will be very short.
Bring all your music, but we will only play a few of our Concert pieces.

TEACHERS MEETING. .. A teacher report will be required for each child-to be handed out for  the next lessons-last session for each group. All teachers will see MS Currie at some their lessons the next two weeks and will have an interview session with her -to be arranged at a convenient time. Also we would like to meet with all teachers.

PARENT MEETINGS: to learn your concerns, needs, suggestions, summer classes/lessons needs. Please sign up with Claudia for a parent\teacher meeting the week of June 17th. Our LAST CLASS  will be held Tuesday June 17th back to  usual times!!

Week of June 17th only"Early bird" prices for 2014/15 registration. Level 1:$45 for 6 weeks, Level 2 $55 and 3: $60 for 6 weeks.

June 17th, 18, 19th Last week of regular classes - resume normal times.

YEAR END PARTY Tuesday June 24-4 to 6pm. No classes/lessons Pizza -pool party for our parents and children- at Ms. Currie's very near-by. Speak to Claudia to get address and if you need transportation. Parents teachers, volunteers and students are invited

SUMMER 2014 : MUSIC LESSONS will be offered for all interested students -bring your calendar to you June Parent Meeting! TWO CLASSES will be held during the summer-all students are required to attend. Dates TBA. IF not able, notify Claudia!

 SUMMER PERFORMANCES: August 9 and 10 we are participating  in the 
Shoppers World Summer FAIR we will need Parents' help in
 manning our booth for 3 hours at a time.
