March calendar

YOUR PERFECT ATTENDANCE-INFO for the next few weeks

A reminder to students and Parents:
PERFECT ATTENDANCE at classes(ANY kind)
is your best way to stay on top of learning. (Also for MATT, your way to receive an honours Certificate at the end of June.)

AND along with that, in the case of learning to play an instrument,
your consistent practice routine is absolutely necessary.
AT least  FIVE, times a week, review carefully all materials we play in class!

MATT is hiring good substitute teachers, while I am away for two Tuesdays,
who will keep your learning fresh, and help you move forward. They will be using the HOMEWORK posted on this BLOG as the basis for your classes-
SO KEEP UP!
Claudia will be recording attendance-
HELP her and the teachers, as much as you can,
by arriving on time and paying attention.
Individual Lessons will continue as usual, along with the Theory component.

DURING MARCH BREAK THERE ARE NO LESSONS OR CLASSES

If I can, I will forward to Claudia, some photos
from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Viet Nam!

The LANGUAGE of MUSIC

HERE's the EXCITING NEWS for our BEGINNERS!

Reading MUSIC is actually the study of a new language-the really good news  though is that, while one must learn many different languages to speak any where else in the world, with music there IS only one universal language-
You can use it EVERYWHERE that you play!
SO BEGINNERS , you are about to join in to this universal club of musicians!

AT this time of year I look around our Beginner class and see some very lovely positions and listen to some lovely and harmonious sounds
