• BEGINNERS:  All beginners need to bring a music stand to class this week as we will begin to read music.
• MUSIC STANDS ORDER: stands ordered through MATT will arrive Tuesday 
• SMALL BLACK  MATT T SHIRT? Thank you to the Ragoobar family for providing the small t-shirt for our wall display "shadow box"!

HOMEWORK THIS WEEK

PRACTICE  CHARTS REQUIRED FOR START OF ALL CLASSES 

  Beginners: 

 1.  Long, long ago: remember LINE 3 

             We now have learned the whole song s seen on hand out sheet

2.THEORY HOMEWORK:

HAND OUT: Lines and spaces. Memorize YOURS, from bottom UP

Violins: 5 lines: Every Good Boy Deserves Fun.  
              4 spaces : F A C E 

Violas: 5 lines:  (FACE +G) OR Fat  American  Cats Eat  Garbage    
             4 spaces: Great Big Dogs Fight

Cellos and  Bass: 5 lines: Great Big Dogs Fight Always
                                 4 spaces: All Cows Eat Grass

       3.  D scale- slowly, with excellent position, bow grip, sitting /standing position
       4 . Review Twinkles : Long Bows

                                           Run Pony  full and short bows

       3. Heart and Soul: Good class  work on rhythms this week- practice those special bars with up bow start and correct slurs!
